New Directions...

Books. Novels. Anthologies....yeah...not working out like i had planned. But it's been a hell of a year and life has taken me in new directions.
No worries...i haven't given up writing. But the two projects i had planned: 1. "Nyctophobia: another horror anthology" has been completely lost by a corrupted thumb drive and a shitty laptop. so it's in a re-write stage and not really sure if i have that in me at the current time. 2. "The Land of Nod" a modern fairy tale was also lost in that fray.
SO! What now?
I have begun two new books. One is a biography of someone i believe you will find to be one of the most amazing people you'll ever have the pleasure to read about. He is a healer, a medicine man, a friend, an amazing everything. I met him over memorial weekend and feel drawn to telling this man's story with his permission. you're not going to believe it. trust me, though, it's all true.
The other project is a love story. that's right, you heard me right, love story. But done in a different vein. I'm not Nicolas Sparks, but i know what i've experienced in the past and some of this is semi-auto-biographical some of it is whimsy but i think you'll enjoy it. It is a rethink job of an old manuscript i had started which is half the battle. This story, which i'm sure i've mentioned before is "Love and Insanity".
Wish me luck. I'm excited to bring these stories to the public!

When this book was first published by Publish America, it was highly edited for content, and was priced somewhere near $30 per book. Needless to say, my dedicated friends and family bought it up, sold around 82 copies.

I've re-released this book through CreateSpace, under a new title and all the face-punching beat poetry they asked me to leave out and at a better price! $15.75!

Now, through the power of marketing and the want to give everyone a good deal on horrible poetry, i'm offering this 502 page kindle book for only $1.99 for one week only. enjoy, get angry, and write about it...

So What's Next?

I've started several novels but being the scatter mind that i am, i never finish hardly anything. The poetry books were easy, there was no plot, just poems which i had already written, it was a matter of organization and BAM...publish.
"Midnight Snacks: a horror anthology" was pretty much the same way, except i did need to tweak a few stories and characters.
"Zechariah 14:12-humanity's last stand" was my first full length novel and it was tough for me to know when to stop. when i thought i was done, a character would tell me they weren't done yet...so click and clack...4 chapters later i'm frustrated as to whether i was done yet.
I've asked some of my readers what they'd like to see out of me next. I gave the the choice of these ideas from projects i've started:
-The Painting: a historical/drama/fiction/love story. in the 1950's an artist from east berlin falls in love with the daughter of a west berlin gallery owner. they fall in love and the night before he plans to propose to her, the wall goes up. they are separated and the story follows their trials and tribulations to find each other. This follows both the rise and fall of the Berlin Wall.

-The Land of Nod: a young adult fantasy novel. After the death of a minnesota family's matriarch, they soon find out after digging through some of gramma Elorah's things that their family has a legacy to guard the border between our world and others.

-growing fonda kerouac: a road story about a young graduate who tries to live out his dream to find the ghost of jack kerouac and the spirit of "easy rider" on his motorbike across america.

-love and insanity: a semi-autobiographical story about a suicide attempt and his inner-quest to find love in a dysfunctional world.

So far, "The Land of Nod" is winning out....though i have had requests for a sequel to "Zechariah"...hmmmm...
